Call-out for the RENKEI Seed Funding for UK-Japan research collaborations in Health

 

Overview of the seed funding

Three awards of GBP 5,000 each are available for interdisciplinary groups of researchers from RENKEI institutions, in order to further the purposes of the RENKEI researcher workshop on health held online on 23 and 24 June 2021, which are for RENKEI members to learn more about each other’s research expertise and interests in the areas of health, and to identify potential for collaborative research. One award is being offered for each of the workshop’s three themes of “Patient Safety”, “Medicine and Informatics”, and “Ageing”. 

 

Eligibility:
Interdisciplinary groups of researchers from RENKEI institutions*.
(The fund is open to all researchers at RENKEI institutions, not only workshop participants.)
*RENKEI institutions:
(Japan) Kyoto University, Kyushu University, Nagoya University, Osaka University, Ritsumeikan University, Tohoku University
(UK) Durham University, Newcastle University, University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, University of Southampton

Amount of the funds:
GBP 5,000 for each of the workshop’s three themes of “Patient Safety”, “Medicine and Informatics”, and “Ageing”.

Period:
Seed funded projects may last up to one year.
